Now Sparkler engineers bring to the chemical industry advanced-type, portable filtering equip ment to meet today's all-out production de mands. Never before has filtering equipment offered so many practical advantages as these Sparkler developments on display in Booth 519. Your first inspection will show you how completely Sparkler's patented horizontal-plate design outmodes other filters. In high-speed, in quality, in uniformity and in economy of performance, you will find the new Sparkler equipment made to order for your requirements in filtering any thing from heaviest wax to the most volatile chemicals—whether 1 pint or 10,000 g.p.h. Come in and see the complete Sparkler line, including the equipment designed for con tinuous nitration in chemical processes.

This remarkable new semi-automatic device provides a means of positive, precise filter press closure in which operator time and effort is reduced to a mini mum. Instead of the usual hydraulic valves, the oper ation is controlled by adjustment at only two places. The hydraulic medium is oil, operating in a closed circuit not exposed to the atmosphere. It is powered by electricity and provides an inexpensive and prac tical means of accelerating the speed of the filtration cycle, and at the same time reducing hazard to the operator. It can be applied to existing filter presses without making extensive alterations to the equip ment. Write for Bulletin m
