New Advisory Board Members Paul Anastas is chief of EPA's Industrial Chemistry Branch and director of the Green Chemistry Program. His office reviews the chemistry of all new chemical products that are introduced into U.S. commerce through manufacture or import with the exception of pharmaceuticals. Menachem Elimelech is the Llewellyn West Jones Professor of Environmental Engineering at Yale University. His research interests center on problems involving physicochemical and colloidal processes in natural and engineered aquatic systems. Gary Sayler teaches environmental microbiology and conducts research in the area

of molecular microbial ecology and biodegradation process monitoring and control and is a professor of microbiology and ecology as well as director of the Center for Environmental Biotechnology and of the Waste Management, Research, Education Institute.

primarily on the distribution and fate of organic pollutants in the aquatic environment, is a professor of environmental chemistry in the department of environmental sciences at the ETH Zurich and heads the Institute for Aquatic Sciences and Water Pollution Control.
