Glas-Col heating tape to maintain 155/160°F in 11/2-mile pipe line
Glas-Co! heating t a p e . . a mile and a half of i t . . helped solve the pipe line heating problem for one of the world's most modern atomic power plants. Requirements are stringent, exacting close temperature control and dependability over a period of several years are a must. • Here are reasons Glas-Col heating tapes fulfill these stringent requirements. 1 . Glas-Col heating tapes are waterproofed with Silicone. ^ . The ribbon type heating element gives a uniform heat input and has a safety factor of several hundred percent over maximum power requirements. o > Fewer temperature controls are needed because " T " connections can be made easily in the side of the tape to cover short branches in a pipe line. 4 . The tapes provide controlled temperature up to 480° F with miniature thermostats which give dependable performance over a period of several years.
THREE PIECES OF TECHNICAL LITERATURE AVAILABLE:
A new manual includes complete directions for the installation of Glas-Col heating tape in the field. A report gives experimental results on performance of Glas-Col heating tape in a pipe line system. Bulletin 5A gives sizes and prices on Glas-Col heating tape.
