Our high purity 3,5 Dichloroaniline is a good illustration of how Ishihara applies sophisticated technology to the solution of human sized problems. All over the world and especially in Europe, grape growers have longlooked for an effective fungicide against gray mold. Recently a fungicide was developed using 3,5-Dichloroaniline, but prohibitive costs prevented its large-scale produc tion. Here at Ishihara we worked to overcome this obstacle and in August 1978 we were proud t o announce the opening of our 3,5-Dichloroaniline plant in Yokkaichi. Ishihara solved this problem by applying our superior technology. Now Ishihara's 3,5-Dichloro aniline plant is the first of its kind in the world, producing this organic intermediate in highpurity on a commercial scale.
With our Current annual production of 1,400 metric tons, Ishihara supplies 3,5-Dichloroaniline to leading international chemical manufacturers. Ishihara's advanced capabilities in research and development are also reflected in the develop ment of our other organic intermediates:

This is a unique organic compound effective in preventing early nitrification of ammonia in nitrogenous fertilizers, maintaining fertilizer effectiveness and contributor to increased crop yields.
