Ammonium acetate, crystal, purified, NH4C2H3O2. These are small, slightly moist, colorless t o white crystals. They a r e very soluble in c o l d water a n d alcohol. Uses of this exceptionally pure, high quality product include t h e manufacture of f o a m rubber a n d vinyl plastic, t h e dyeing of fabrics, and applications in explosives a n d p h a r m a ceuticals.
Cupric acetate, crystal, reagent and technical grades, Cu(C2H3U2)2 · H2O. B&A cupric acetate is of highest quality and purity . . . also easy to h a n d l e . Reagent grade is used in t h e m a n u f a c t u r e of synthetic fibers • . . technical grade in t h e m a n u f a c t u r e of dyes, copper mirrors a n d printed circuits.
Calcium acetate, powder, purified, Ca(C2H302)2*H20. This is a high quality, white, free-flowing powder m a d e from carefully selected r a w materials. I t should n o t b e confused with ordinary gray acetate of lime, over which it offers m a n y advantages. Its uses include the liming of rosins, catalyst in preparation o f metal résinâtes, a n d varied applications in pharmaceuticals a n d foods. I t is also used in t h e petroleum industry for the preparation of calcium soaps.
P o t a s s i u m a c e t a t e , N . F . a n d technical, KC2H3O2. B&A potassium acetate m a y be used as a h u m e c t a n t in vari ous industries, such as textiles and cigarette paper manufac ture. I t has varied uses in the pharmaceutical industry.
