Different wet-chemical synthetic methods have emerged for the generation of nanometer-scale metal particles which display size, shape, and organization dependent optical properties that are exploited in a wide range of fields.1,2 The synthesis of monodisperse gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with average diameters of
