∑ [ ∑ fµ′(xi) fν′(yi) fµ(xi) fν(yi)]aµ′ν′ + µ′ν′

i)1

NS

4π2φ(µ2 + ν2) aµν )

∑ zifµ(xi) fν(yi)

(5)

i)1

where aµν are real coefficients of a Fourier expansion representing the surface function, with indices running from -nM to nM, where nM is the maximum wavevector cutoff. NS is the total number of surface sites, xi, yi, and zi are the Cartesian coordinates of surface site i, and φ is a parameter that sets a maximum threshold distance between the surface function and the coordinates of the surface sites. Functions fi are defined as follows: f0(x) ) 0, fµ(x) ) cos(2πµx/Lx), and f-µ(x) ) sin(2πµx/Lx) for µ > 0. In the original paper, the φ was incorrectly replaced by δ. This was simply a typing mistake and does not affect any results presented in the paper. 10.1021/jp109913u Published on Web 11/04/2010
