Agencies

ACS Clearing Houses. The ACS conducts a National Employment Clearing House for members and student affiliates at each national meeting. This effort is augmented by a year-round Employment Clearing House based in the Society's offices in Washington, D.C. For college seniors majoring in chemistry or chemical engineering, there is also the College Chemistry Seniors service (not limited to members or affiliates of the ACS). College Phcement Bureaus. Campus placement offices often maintain a file of openings for recent graduates as well as for graduating students. Local ACS Sections. Some local sections of the ACS provide employment assistance. Private Phcement Agencies. The quality, cost, and nature of the services available varies widely; check those in your area to determine what they offer. State Employment Agencies. Those nonfee organizations carry openings for professional people. Directories

The commission maintains a list of open examinations for jobs in government laboratories and installations.
