Digestor The Rapid Digestor is designed for use in wet digestions such as Kjeldahl nitrogen determinations and trace metal analyses. It comes complete with a solid state triac controller, tube carrier rack and digestor unit, and features 25 individually heated ceramic modules. The solid-state temperature controller offers stepless set point control from ambient to 450 ° C . Less than 1 h is required for the modules to reach 410 ° C . Labconco Corp. 417

Droplet Sizing Interferometer

This Kjeldahl aratu: has a micro-appi ïtite for nitrogen determinations.

Droplet environments are measured in situ and nonintrusively by the Droplet Sizing Interferometer. Scattered laser light from a small volume is analyzed to determine individual droplet size and velocity at a frequency of up to 10 KHz. Both dilute and high number density environments can be measured. The system has a measurement size range capability from 3 μιτ) to at least 5 m m . Spectron Development Laboratories, Inc. 418

Our unique rotary digestion apparatus is designed for micro and semi-micro determinations* and offers several advantages over conventional designs. It eliminates troublesome cold-end flasks and fixes all twelve flasks at equal distances ensuring even heating. The entire apparatus occupies only 18 inches of bench space and it can be rotated to position any flask "up-front" or, to agitate flasks. A variable-voltage transformer may be used to expand the temperature range. A fume hood is available (as shown) to free your laboratory hood for other purposes. The Kontes Rotary Digestion Apparatus is efficient, compact, and easy to use. To satisfy your appetite for more product information and applications of this and other Kjeldahl apparatus, contact your Kontes man or send for our product bulletin. 'Application papers include use with plant and biological specimens.

PV Gas Sampling Bags permit laboratory or field preparation of precision-dosed gas mix tures, in test concentrations from 1 to 1 000 ppm. Each individual bag has been calibrated gravimetrically and labeled to show the precise volume of gas it will hold at a pressure of 50 mm of water. Test gas is injected into a pre cisely known volume of inert gas contained in the bag. Mixtures can be prepared when they are needed, in the field, and the concentration of the test gas can be increased by injecting additional quantities into the bag. Calibrated Instruments 405
