Editorial ACS Award Addresses in Inorganic Chemistry In this issue we initiate a new feature, namely, the publication of ACS Award Addresses in areas falling within the scope of this journal. • Invitations have gone out to a number of the 1997 recipients of ACS Awards who presented talks at the San Francisco National Meeting of the ACS this past April. This policy will be continued in the future. • Invited manuscripts may be either verbatim copies of the Award Address or related material. • The cover illustration of the journal issue in which the invited article is published will be derived from the subject matter of the Award Address.
