Two main subject areas will be covered: chemical s t r u c t u r a l information standards and analytical laboratory information standards, emphasizing data portability in analytical chemistry and surface science. Topics include database design; data visualization, including presentation, publication, a n d readability; d a t a modeling; data acquisition, including content requirements; database and application design; and data interchange systems, including repositories, dictionaries, access tools, a n d formats.
