ACS GCI Formulators’ Roundtable The ACS GCI Formulators’ Roundtable is a driving force for the use of green chemistry to create sustainable cleaning and personal care products that are safer to manufacture and for consumers to use. Established in 2007 as a partnership between the ACS Green Chemistry Institute® (ACS GCI) and the formulated products industry, including formulators and their direct suppliers, the Roundtable works throughout the supply chain to develop and use greener alternatives and scientifically sound standards. OUR MISSION

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

“To be a driving force in the formulated products industry in using green chemistry to create innovative products that are environmentally sustainable throughout the product life cycle and safer to make and use.”

KEY OBJECTIVES • Submit funding proposal for a research project to identify more sustainable small amines. • Collaborate with suppliers to advance research and development of more sustainable alternatives as defined in the Roundtable publication, “Opportunities for Greener Alternatives from the Formulators’ Perspective.” • Lead a task force to identify greener alternatives to existing safety solvents.

• Develop technical programming as part of the Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. • Promote green chemistry in the industry through visibility in trade and peer-review journals. • Expand engagement with standard setting organizations and eco-labels.

FORMULATORS’ ROUNDTABLE MEMBERSHIP The ACS GCI Formulators’ Roundtable welcomes the active participation of member companies that pledge their support and contribute to the Roundtable by making available their knowledge and experience as well as providing financial support. • Eligible companies include those identifying with SIC Industry Group 284 and chemical manufacturers directly supplying those companies.

• Virtual meetings are held monthly • At least one in-person meeting per year • Fees depend on company sales and range from $1,000 – $10,000
