HIGHLIGHTS

"Men and Molecules," the book based on the ACS weekly radio series of the same name, will be published in four languages in India within the next two years: Hindi, Urdu, Panjabi, and English. Crown Publishers, Inc., has contracted with the United States Information Service for USIS to help three publishing houses in India print the book in the three Indian dialects and a fourth publisher there to put out the book in English. A Japanese translation of "Men and Molecules" will appear in 1968 (C&EN, May 1, page 49). The first printing of the book, which came out in November 1966, has been exhausted and a second printing will be out late next month.

Pins with the ACS insignia for 25-year members of the Society are now available in yellow gold at $2.00 each from the Membership Office in Washington. The emblem, finished in a cobalt blue enamel and gold, the colors of the Society, is a square standing on one of its points. The upper triangular half contains the figure of a phoenix rising from the flames, typical of chemical activity and of the birth of substance through the energy of chemical change. The lower half contains the letters "ACS" and a small Liebig bulb. In addition to the 25-year-member pins, the ACS insignia also is available on keys, tie clips, cuff links, pins, lapel buttons, 40-year pins or lapel buttons, and membership certificates. For information about these items or to order them, write to the American Chemical Society, 1155-16th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036.
