These fluoro organics have demonstrated unusual re active capabilities which suggest a variety of possible applications including use as complexing agents, cata lysts, and raw materials for fluoro-organic synthesis. T h e ketones can be hydrated, alcoholated and ammoniated. They are stable in acid but react with alkalis to form derivatives of monochlorodifluoroacetic acid. They form amine and urea complexes and show interest ing pyrolytic reactions.
