The curve below shows an actual recording of mercury line spectrum using Cat. No. 1620-814 X-Y Recorder. Recorded wavelengths agree with true wavelengths within 1 millimicron. INSERT: Actual recording of the two mercury lines at 577 and 579 millimicrons. In both cases adjustable slits were installed on the SPF. The curve at the lower left shows an actual recording of spectra using Cat. No. C136-62140 and Cat. No, B130-62140 Adjustable Slits installed on the Aminco-Bowman Spectrophotofluorometer. To record transmission the Adjustable Slit in front of the photomultiplier tube was installed on a Cat. No. A101-62140 adaptor plate which modifies the SPF for absorption studies.
