A Unique New Corrected Spectra Spectrofluorometer With True Double-Beam Compensation In this new AMINCO Corrected Spectra Spectrofluorom eter (SPF), a unique dual-detector system provides superior correction, accuracy and range. One detector, calibrated to a radiant fluxmeter, produces corrected excitation spectra, while the other detector, calibrated to a standard lamp, produces corrected emission spectra. A half-width cell (5mm) placed before the reference PM tube corrects for solvent absorption, sometimes a critical factor at short wavelengths. This design provides a cor rected wavelength range of 200 to 650 nm in the excita tion mode and 290 to 700 nm in the emission mode. This unique design concept also provides: • An instrument calibrated for extended periods of time without adjustment of calibration controls (there are only 5 potentiometers for excitation and 12 for emis sion). Π Quanta correction or energy correction of both excita tion and emission spectra without recalibration. Mode selection is made by a simple switch.
