Shubring is a graduate of t h e Ohio S t a t e University in mechanical en­ gineering, and until recently w a s employed as research engineer for the Cooper-Bessemer Corp., M t . Vernon, Ohio. Richard W. P l u m m e r , formerly metallurgist for the A l u m i n u m C o m p a n y of America, has been employed b y t h e Chemical D e p a r t m e n t of t h e Du Pont Ammonia Corp. M r . P l u m m e r is a graduate in metallurgy from t h e Massachusetts I n s t i t u t e of Technology. E r n s t R. H a b i c h t has been employed as research engineer in t h e technical d e p a r t m e n t of the D u Pont A m m o n i a Corp., Belle, W . Va. Merriss, who i s a g r a d u a t e of Columbia University, h a s long been associated with t h e copper i n d u s t r y as a production executive. In his present connection h e will be identified with sales development. R. V. Kleinschrnidt, formerly research engineer with Arthur D . Henry Leffman Honored H e n r y Leffman, distinguished Philadelphia chemist, and physician a n d lecturer on chemical research a t t h e Philadelphia College of P h a r m a c y a n d Science, h a s received t h e high distinct i o n of election as a n honorary member of the F r a n k l i n I n s t i t u t e . T h e award w a s m a d e on Medal D a y , M a y 21.
