Editorial An Invitation Authors are invited to use the JACS template for preparation of their Communications to the Editor and submit their manuscripts as pdf files via e-mail (as attachments) to
[email protected]. These manuscripts will be forwarded for review by e-mail to minimize the amount of time they spend in transit during the review process. At this time only pdf (portable document format) files will be accepted. Authors should first use one of the word processing templates available at http://pubs.acs.org/ journals/jacsat/jacs•inst.html to ensure that their Communications (with embedded graphics) will fit within the page limit for the Journal. A pdf file of the journalformatted manuscript must then be created using Adobe Acrobat or another pdf writer (see www.adobe.com for more information). Supporting information for Communications should also be formatted to use a minimum number of pages, and all material (text, graphics, tables) must be contained in a single file. A pdf file of the supporting information must be submitted with the manuscript for review. After receipt of the manuscript number and where appropriate, authors should also submit supporting information as CIF, PDB, and ASCII files to the address provided in the Author Instructions for JACS (http://pubs.acs.org/journals/ jacsat/jacs•inst.html).
