Analytical Challenges for Assessing Environmental Exposure to Children 218th ACS National Meeting Sunday morning, August 22-Tuesday morning, August 24, 1999 Ernest Morial Convention Center, Room 209, Second Level This symposium will explore the difficulties and challenges that are associated with assessing exposure to environmental toxicants in children. The topics will include the Institutional Review Board, assent forms, collection of biological samples, completion of questionnaire data, biological sample size, analytical measurements on small samples, compliance, and legislative issues. This is a very timely symposium, especially in light of legislation such as the Food Quality Protection Act and children's health initiatives. Featured below are the Sunday morning and afternoon sessions. There will be additional sessions on Monday morning and afternoon and on Tuesday morning. The Director of CDC's National Center for Environmental Health will be featured as a speaker during the Monday morning session.
