The

mountain states area and Kennecott copper can be justifiably proud this month as the company's new research center is dedicated. Located on the University of Utah's campus at Salt Lake City, these facilities will be an important addition to the research facilities of the area. The company apparently has spared no effort or expense to provide excellent housing and equipment for the technical staff. The principal objectives of this research center appropriately will be the effective coordination and expansion of the research activities of Kennecott Js four western mining divisions. At the same time it is reasonable to assume that the university and the community will benefit greatly by having the research center and its staff in their midst.
