New guar derivatives have the properties you're looking for. (High viscosity * low viscosity—high solids · suspension · organic solvent compatibility · electrolyte compatibility · film forming · lubricity · friction reduction · gel formation · pure food · density reduction · binding · flocculation · filtration aid).

Natural guar gum has excellent thick ening, binding, suspending and gell ing properties. Now Stein-Hall has gone nature one better, and developed Jaguar derivatives with even more useful characteristics: JAGUAR HP-11, nonionic hydroxypropyl guar with excellent electrolyte compatibility, will hydrate and thicken in saturated solutions of many salts. JAGUAR CMHP, anionic carboxymethyl hydroxypropyl guar, readily

hydrates and thickens in water or 50% ethanol solutions, and suspends dense solids. JAGUAR C-13, cat ionic guar, is an effective flocculant and filtration aid. It thickens and suspends in numer ous systems incompatible with anionic guar. JAGUAR A-40-F is a rapid-swelling, high viscosity food grade natural guar product. Jaguar A2S blend, also a natural guar product, has low viscos ity, permitting inclusion of higher guar solids.
