Announcements 1993 International Short Course on Nonclinical Drug Safety The American Health Foundation Environmental Health and Safety Council and Synthblabo Recherche (LERS) Department of Drug Safety are sponsoring the ”1993 International Short Course on Nonclinical Drug Safety”, October 4-8, 1993, at the Tarrytown Hilton Inn in Tarrytown, New York. The course concerns mainly those in the pharmaceutical industry in charge of clinical studies and those responsible for the registration of new drugs. 4th International Symposium on “Spin Trapping and Organic EPR Spectroscopy with Applications in Chemistry, Biology and Medicine” The Free Radical Biology and Aging Research Program, National Biomedical Center for Spin Trapping and Free Radicals, of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, is hosting the 4th International Symposium on “Spin Trapping and Organic EPR Spectroscopy with Applications in Chemistry, Biology and Medicine”, October 24-28, 1993, at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Suggested topics that will be covered during the Symposium include: Kinetics and rates of spin trapping and spin adduct decay; EPR and mass spectroscopy of spin adducts; synthesis of spin traps and spin adducts; biological chemistry and metabolism of spin traps and spin adducts; spin trapping and drug toxicity; beneficial effects of spin traps.
