Announcing a new table model design with five times more capacity For tension, compression and other behavioral tests, Instron can now offer a testing machine that combines a substantially higher load capacity with the economy and compactness of table-model design. In addition, Instron's model TM-S has a new crosshead guidance system for improved machine "stiffness", up to 44 inches of crosshead travel for a greater variety of tests, and several convenience features including a fast new crosshead speed-selection system. The 1000-pound Model TM-S incorporates all of the proven features of Instron's standard Model TM including

strain-gage load cells for high speed of response and sensitivity to changes in load; synchronously-controlled crosshead speeds for testing at constant rates; continuous plot of load and extension values on a strip-chart recorder. Most of Instron's standard line of TM accessories are fully interchangeable. And theTM-S testing frame can be used with the TM control console.
