Never before have new developments in anilyti&l chemistry been reported at a faster rate. Progressive ana$jrst8 face a challenge to keep abreast of current developments. New instruments are being developed land put into service in industrial laboratories, which requite a thorough knowledge of new theories and techniques, in older to realize the maximum utility of the instruments. The Podbielniak Institute was founded to fulfill this requirement as applied; to gas chromatography and analytical distillation. Two courses are offered, one on gas chromatography and one combftiing gas chromatography and analytical distillation. _, .
ods, vital to industry. The intensive training courses are a balanced combination of theory and practical application. The teaching staff consists of lecturers who are authorities in these fields. The Podbielniak Institute serves as a clearing house for the solution of difficult analytical problems, and the evaluation of new techniques and theories on the subject. New analytical techniques have been developed and demonstrated at the Institute. An extensive collection of technical articles on gas chromatography has been compiled for the use of the students.
The two-week courses make i| possible to teco'rjje quickly and effectively informed on the "Jknow-how" gainedf' through intensive research and practical amplication of analytical meth-
