Announcing the 2018 ACS Nano Lectureship Awards his year, we will hold our ACS Nano award lectures at the fall 2018 American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. Nominations are welcome from around the world, and once again, one award lectureship will be given in each of three regions: Africa/Europe/Middle East, the Americas, and Asia/Pacific.1 The award includes an honorarium and travel support for the winner and a related speaker to present at the Boston ACS meeting, which is being organized by our ACS Nano editors around the theme of “Nanoscience, Nanotechnology, and Beyond”.2 The award lecturers are invited to write a Perspective or other forward-looking article on their views of where they see their areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology going. In addition to direct nominations this year, all authors who have published 12 or more ACS Nano research articles are automatically eligible, although we encourage you to nominate the scientists, engineers, clinicians, and others in this group, as well. We note that our editors, members of the selection committee, and previous award lecturers3 are not eligible. Nominations are due by April 22, 2018, and a complete description of the nomination package is available online.1

Laura E. Fernandez, Managing Editor While in the past, we have alternated between holding our award lectures in Europe and Asia, our lectures are in the United States this year. We will nonetheless have many other nanoscience- and nanotechnology-related activities around the globe. As this issue appears, we will be at the Atlantic Basin Chemistry Conference in Cancun, Mexico with contributions from Africa, the Americas, and Europe.4 Stay tuned for many more events to come. Announcements. We are delighted to welcome Prof. Young Hee Lee, director of the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP) of the Institute for Basic Science and professor in the Departments of Energy Science and of Physics at Sungkyunkwan University as an associate editor of ACS Nano. Prof. Lee has been an active author and advisor to the journal for a number of years.5−9 His research and center focus on exploring the physics, engineering, and applications of low-dimensional materials. © 2018 American Chemical Society
