Corrections Antimitotic Sulfonamides Inhibit Microtubule Assembly Dynamics and Cancer Cell Proliferation, by Renu Mohan, Mithu Banerjee, Anasuya Ray, Tapas Manna, Leslie Wilson, Takashi Owa, Bhabatarak Bhattacharyya, and Dulal Panda*, Volume 45, Number 17, May 2, 2006, pages 5440-5449. Page 5440. In the second paragraph of the text, E7070 should be characterized differently. E7070 is not a tubulin polymerization inhibitor but is a completely different type of antitumor agent. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials as a novel cell cycle inhibitor that activates G1 and G2 cell cycle checkpoints without disrupting tubulin polymerization.
