ARMY RESEARCH LABORATORY POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

O b j e c t i v e s The program is designed t o significantly increase the involvement of cre­ ative and highly trained scientists and engi­ neers f r o m academia and industry in scien­ tific and technical areas of interest and rele­ vance t o the Army. Scientists and engineers at the A r m y Research Laboratory (ARL) help shape and execute the Army's program for meeting the challenges of developing technologies that will support A r m y Forces in meeting f u t u r e operational needs. Through this program, the A r m y is strongly pursuing scientific research and technologi­ cal developments in such diverse fields as: applied m a t h e m a t i c s atmospheric characterization simulation and h u m a n m o d e l i n g digital/optical signal processing m a t e r i a l science and technology m u l t i f u n c t i o n a l technology fuze development c o m b u s t i o n process propulsion and flight physics
