Extracto-Matic Apparatus The Extracto-Matic Apparatus has a gentle rocking motion through a 90° arc between horizontal and vertical positions, twenty times per minute. The rocker is ruggedly constructed with a stainless steel top plate and corrosion-resistant finish. I t s motor is non-sparking. VirTis freeze-drying units are self-contained and do not require a separate dry ice chamber or condenser. The inner condenser on each unit can be used for shell freezing. Super and Macro models hold sufficient dry ice and solvent for unattended operation overnight. Each unit has two ports for the vacuum pump and gauge. The rest of the ports to the drying flasks are baffled to prevent clogging. Each unit is complete with a cut-off clamp and a condenser cover. VirTis freeze-drying units are made of polished 18-8 stainless steel and can be autoclaved after contact with infectious materials.
