A Committee for the Standardization of Microchemical A p p a r a t u s has been ap­ pointed b y P. J. Elving, chairman of the Division of Analytical a n d Micro C h e m ­ istry of t h e ACS. The members of this committee are Al Steyermark, chairman, H. K. Alber, V. A.*Aluise, E. W . D . Huffman, J. A. Kuck, J. J. Moran, and C. O. Willits. T h e intentions of the group a r e (1) where needed, to revise a p p a r a t u s recom­ mended b y the former Committee for the Standardization of Microchemical A p p a ­ ratus and (2) to recommend specifications for other items of quantitative-micro, -semimicro, and -ultramicro apparatus, After this, attention will be given t o the qualitative field.
