AUTOMATE your spectrophotometry Get 360 results an hour... With the Spectronic System 400. Choose the Degree of Automation You Want. The System 400 provides exactly the amount of automation you need for your spectrophotometric testing. It can automate clinical testing (end-point or kinetic), drug abuse detection, industrial quality control, water and waste analyses, food sampling, method development, or research studies. V Quality Spectrophotometer at the leart of the System. There are two digial spectrophotometers with excellent resojtion and stability for the System 400. "hoose the Spectronic® 100 for testing in ne visible region or the Spectronic® 710 overing the ultraviolet to near IR. Just one if our many sampling options is a micro ow-thru cell compartment that can handle aw sample volumes of any chemical re.gent, regardless of viscosity.

\utomated Data Handling. The Spec ronic System 400-2 consists of either spectrophotometer and the DP-110 Data Processor. A unique feature is its ability to jrint both absorbance and concentration or quality control checks. It provides autortatic calculations for rate reactions, and samples can be serially identified.

Automatic Sampling. The Spectronic System 400-3 accepts 80 prepared samples in a constant temperature water bath for incubation during color development. Automatic transfer of reaction mixture to the spectrophotometer means unattended operation. The operator can work elsewhere while the system produces test results.

Automatic Sample Preparation. Adding the Diluter/Pipetter gives you the System 400-4, capable of automatically adding a trigger reagent to initiate all chemical reaction. There's no need to use sample cups or waste sample—only the exact amount the test requires is used. An air-jet provides complete mixing of the sample reaction.

If it's time to automate your spectrophotometry—no other automatic spectrophotometric system is as flexible or versatile—regardless of price. Wril e for complete details. Bausch & Lomb, Analytical Systems Division, 03-10-53 Linden Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14625.

we sell more spectrophotometers than any other manufacturer.
