WITH YOUR TOUGHEST ANALYSIS PROBLEMS...

X-Ray Analysis The 11th Annual Conference on Ap plications of X-Ray Analysis will be held August 8 to 10 at the Albany Hotel, Denver, Colo. Sponsor is the Denver Research Institute. There will be sessions on x-ray dif fraction, emission spectrography, ab sorption and microscopy, and instru mentation. Deadline for titles and abstracts is April 15. Manuscripts must be sub mitted by July 15 with consent to publish in copyrighted proceedings. Further details are available from Dr. W. M. Mueller, Denver Research Institute, Universitv of Denver, Den ver 10, Colo.

Spectroscopic Group Meeting The spring meeting of the Gulf Coast Spectroscopic Group will be held at the Ben Milam Hotel, Houston, Tex., on April 6. The majority of the papers are ex pected to deal with gas chromatogra phy. Other papers are expected on in frared, ultraviolet, mass spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, emission, and fluores cence, and combination of gas chro matography, mass spectroscopy, or infrared. Details are available from W. A. Bosse, Mobil Oil Co., P.O. Box 3311, Beaumont, Texas.

Industrial Spectrography a t Boston College Boston College will again conduct the annual special two-week intensive course in Modern Industrial Spectrog raphy from July 16 through July 27. The course is designed particularly for chemists and physicists from indus try desirous of learning the techniques of emission spectroscopy for use in analytical work. Correspondence should be directed to: Rev. James J. Devlin, S.J., De partment of Physics, Boston College Chestnut Hill 67, Mass.

Bausch & Lomb Spectronic 505 Recording Spectrophotometer This versatile instrument could be cutting the time of some of your most complex analyses, from days to hours or minutes . . . right now! It could be giving you the dependably accurate answer to just about any quali tative or quantitative problem you want to feed into it . . . at far less than half the cost of comparable instruments.

But you'll never know until you try. That's why we invite you to give it a really thorough t e s t . . . try it with the type of work you'll want it to do . . . in your own lab or your dealer's show room . . . at your own conven ience . . . without any obligation whatsoever. Don't you owe it to yourself at least to find out?

BAUSCH & LOMB Please schedule an obligation-free demonstration of the Spectronic °5 D in my lab π at my dealer's • Please send me a copy of "Fundamentals of Spectrophotometry"
