Correspondence BENJAMIN SILLIMAN, 1779-1864-A
CORRECTION
Kindly permit me to call your attention to a slight error which occurs in the biographical sketch of Benjamin Silliman in the January, 1930, JOURNAL. According to the frontispiece accompanying this sketch, Silliman lived from 1779-1864, yet in the eighteenth and nineteenth lines of the first paragraph is the statement that he graduated from Yale in 1776, three years before his birth.
