Benzoyl Peroxide is used to catalyze various synthetic resins and monomers: polyesters, silicones, acrylics, vi nyls, styrene, etc. Wet granules reduce flammability and shock sensitivity hazards usually associated with the dry product and work especially well in emulsion and suspension type polymerizations. Because of the reduced hazards of the wet granules, the I.C.C. permits shipments in larger packages than the i-pound standard required for dry granules. RCI offers the wet product in i-lb., 5-lb., and ίο-lb. (net dry weight) containers.

Di-tertiary-Butyl Peroxide, an especially stable liquid, is formulated for use as a high temperature polymeriza tion catalyst for a variety of olefins and vinyl monomers (e.g. ethylene and styrene). Especially suited for styrenated alkyd production.
Many polymer producers are presently enjoying the superior service and quality associated with RCI catalysts. Are you? If not, contact your nearest RCI Sales Representative for complete information on any or all of our polymerization catalysts. Or, write to Reichhold Chemicals, Inc., RCI Building, White Plains, N . Do you need new glasses... or Mallinckrodt thin layer sorbents? A change to Mallinckrodt SilicAR® sorbents is like getting a new set of eyes. Spots sharpen. Clarity improves. Uniform results become a matter of course. The uniformity of Mallinckrodt silicic acid is legend. Our purity specifications excel the standards of comparably priced sorbents. And, further, we provide tight control of organic contaminants— the source of greyness on charred plates, contamination at the solvent front and other TLC troubles. Few sorbents offer this control. There's an additional advantage in our fluorescent sorbents. The phosphors emit white light instead of green, resulting in superior uv visualization. The photos at left compare the same sample on a green plate (top) and our white plate (bottom) under uv. If you haven't been seeing spots like you should, don't blame your glasses. Blame your "specs." Order a supply of SilicAR sorbents from your Mallinckrodt distributor. For product data write Dept. TLC
