Biographical Sketches Rona Chandrawati received her B.Sc. (biotechnology) in 2007 from Monash University, Australia. She completed her Ph.D. in the research group of Professor Frank Caruso at The University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2011, focusing on the design and development of bioinspired cell mimics. Since 2012, she has been working in the research group of Professor Molly Stevens at Imperial College London, U.K, as a postdoctoral research associate. Her research interests include the development of bioresponsive nanomaterials for diagnostics, therapeutic delivery, and tissue engineering. Frank Caruso is a professor and Australian Research Council Federation Fellow at The University of Melbourne. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1994 from The University of Melbourne and then moved to the CSIRO Division of Chemicals and Polymers in Melbourne. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow and then group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Berlin, Germany, from 1997 to 2002. His research interests focus on developing advanced nano- and biomaterials for biotechnology and medicine.
