BREKING THE ICE BARRIER Ice on airliner wings is dangerous. T o eliminate this hazard, Kilfrost T K S R328 wing de-icing fluid, made by Chipman Chemical Co., Inc., is extensively used for both commercial and private airplanes- T h e fluid is circulated through a honeycomb surface along the wing's leading edge. T h e flow of Kilfrost o v e r the wing's surface, con trolled by the pilot, forms a film t h a t dissolves ice on contact—preventing its formation in flight. Foreign particles in this fluid, however, could clog t h e honeycombed surface?, j a m m i n g t h e circulatory system. Kilfrost has t o be delivered in perfect condition,

-ire and contamination-free. Various types of packaging materials were tried but abuse received during shipment caused leaks a t c ers and seams. So Chipman and Inland m a d e exha -stive tests and found trie answer in a s t u r d y Inland steel pail with a special protective lining. Now Chipman has a package they can depend on to deliver Kilfrost safe, uncontaminated, ready t o break t h e ice barrier. Wherever your products are used—land, sea or air— if packaging is a problem, Inland Steel Container is ready t o help you. Write Bob Boecher, Dept. 334B.
