Portable gas chromatograph. PE Photovac offers the Voyager Portable GC, a lightweight (15 lb), hand-carried instrument containing a built-in three-column configuration with an isothermal oven that provides optimized fast GC analysis for up to 40 factory-programmed volatile organic compounds listed by EPA. A pointand-press mode enables on-site monitoring of worker exposure; the comprehensive analytical mode allows monitoring of soil, soil gas, groundwater, and ambient air. 120 Sample preparation. The Isco-Suprex SFX 3560DM Dual Mode Extractor combines supercritical fluid extraction and enhanced solvent extraction into one automated instrument. Sequential extraction and collection of up to 24 samples can be obtained by using bar-coded 10-mL sample cartridges. The two modes are software-selectable. 121

[email protected] MONITORING NOx analyzer. Eco Physics, Inc., produces the CLD 70 S Chemiluminescence Analyzer for stack testing. The analyzer has four user-defined measuring ranges up to 5000 ppm and uses low-maintenance vacuum pumps. The unit is operated with a built-in keypad or may be used with a personal computer. 122 Open-path FT-IR system. AIL Systems, Inc., produces the Remote Molecular Monitoring System, an active open-path FT-IR system for fenceline detection of a wide range of atmospheric contaminants. The system is operated in a monostatic configuration with a single telescope and has a range of up to 500 m. The Windows-based RMM software allows for operation by nontechnical personnel and detailed spectroscopic analysis. 123

The searchable database contains more than 800 existing, innovative, and emerging technologies. A detailed profile, source documents, case histories, technical and cost performance reports, and third-party evaluations are included for each technology. SITE ASSESSMENT Characterization, management software. Environmental Software's SitePro is an integrated desktop software package that includes an integrated database, CAD, GIS (Geographical Information System), mapping, graphing, analysis, and reporting functions. The Windowsbased system provides an accessible platform for data exchange and work collaboration. 125
TREATMENT Biological air filters. Biorem Technologies, Inc., has implemented biofiltration systems for the removal of noxious odors and volatile organics from high-volume airstreams with low concentrations of organics. Biorem provides complete turnkey installation of biofilters.
