ACCURATE, RUGGED... REC's new temperature standard T h e n e w REC M o d e l 162C p l a t i n u m resist ance temperature s t a n d a r d is so s t a b l e and accurate it can be calibrated a n d certified by t h e National Bureau of Standards. Yet it is r u g g e d enough to operate under 2 , 0 0 0 psi pressure a n d withstands s u d d e n , ex t r e m e changes in t e m perature. The Model 162C's fully a n n e a l e d , high purity platinum wire resistor is m o u n t e d essentially strain free with in a h e r m e t i c a l l y s e a l e d stainless steel well. S t a b i l i t y is b e t t e r t h a n .005° C. over a range f r o m - 2 0 0 ° to + 5 0 0 ° C. Selfheating is only .001° C. at 2 ma. Insulation resistance from element to outside c a s e is m o r e t h a n 1 , 0 0 0 m e g o h m s at 100 vdc at 500° C. We will calibrate any Model 162C t o a n a c c u r a c y of ±.015°C. Write for further details of this new t e m p e r a t u r e stand ard t h a t combines great ac curacy and ruggedness.
