Carbonate Complexation of Dioxoneptunium(V1) at 25 OC: Its Effect on the Np(V)/Np(VI) Potential1a LEON MAYA Received October 11, 1983

The carbonate complexation constants for dioxoneptunium(V1)were derived from potentiometric titrations of neptunium(V1) under different carbon dioxide partial pressures in the range between pH 5.0 and 8.0. The values obtained are similar to those of the dioxouranium(V1). The carbonate-containingspecies that attain a significant concentration in this pH range are (Np02)2C03(OH)
