POLYOX Polyethylene Oxide Resins are compatible with many organic solvents, detergent compositions, and high concentrations of electrolytes. They have little biological oxygen demand, and possess extraordinary thickening action in colloidal systems. A new four-membered, non-stringy POLYOX WSR-N series has a low pituitous character. Their aqueous solutions have improved stability to mechanical and chemical degradation. Some grades have unusually low viscosities at high concentrations and all are easy to dissolve.

POLYOX Resins are thermoplastic. They can be calendered, extruded, molded, or cast. "Water-soluble films and shapes made from POLYOX Resins are available under the trade mark RADEL.
