The Career Resource Center The Career Resource Center (CRC) offers a wealth of professional development programs and services to enhance your career potential. All the programs and services listed below are open to ACS members and national and student affiliates. Due to space limitations at this meeting, the National Employment Clearinghouse (NECH) will be held at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, while all other Career Resource Center programs and services will be offered in Hall A of t h e M o s c o n e Convention Center. The Westin St. Francis Hotel is about a 6-block walk from the Convention Center or a short ride on the ACS shuttle bus.

Career Development Programs Mock Interview S e s s i o n s - give you an opportunity to videotape a practice interview and receive immediate feedback. R e s u m e R e v i e w s - provide individualized career assistance with a consultant for the purpose of review­ ing your resume and discussing your career options. (Advance signup required for Mock Interview Sessions and Resume Reviews: Signup in the Registration area on Sunday or at the Career Resource Center, Monday Wednesday.) Career Resource Library - A variety of resource books and free publications, videotapes and pamphlets awaits your perusal in Moscone Center Hall A, The Career Resource Center. NEW! Ask The E x p e r t (Each day from 1 2 - 1 pm) Bring your lunch and ask any questions that you might have. Each day features a different specialist who can answer your questions! NEW! Technical P r e s e n t a t i o n s R e v i e w s for Graduate S t u d e n t s (Monday and Tuesday 1pm 4pm) — Practice oral communication skills and get ready for that job talk. Participants will give short, technical presentations and be reviewed by experienced panelists. IMPORTANT ITEMS TO REMEMBER Clearly write your name and NECH registration number (ex.COOOl, C0023, etc.) on all NECH documentation. Check mailbox at least three times daily at the Candidate Message Center. The C# on the NECH card is your mailbox. Report to the Interview Area at least 10 minutes before your scheduled interview time. Professional attire suggested.

National Employment Clearinghouse The National Employment Clearinghouse (NECH) brings together employers seeking candidates and chemical scientists seeking employment.

Onsite Signup Completed NECH forms and 3 copies of your resume should be submitted to the Job Seeker Signup Station. The yellow NECH card which you will receive at signup must be visible while you are in the Clearinghouse.

Messages to Employers Posted positions are grouped by number and chemical specialty and filed in Positions Available area. Forms used to send messages to employers for requesting appointments may be picked up and completed at the Positions Available station.

Copies of Resumes Please check with the staff at the convention center or a nearby hotel for directions to the closest copy center. ACS does not provide a copier for public use.
