CHEMICAL INFORMATION

What's New from Chemical Abstracts Service® Protein Sequence Data in the REGISTRY File! The REGISTRY File now contains se quence data for about 150,000 peptides and proteins, searchable and displayable by 1- and 3-letter amino acid codes. Sources include patents and journals, and go back to 1957. You can easily transfer CAS Registry Numbers® to other bio-related files on STN, like CA®, BIOSIS Previews®/RN, and MEDLINE®, and find related information.

MARPAT8"- New Chemical Patent File with Markush Structures With M ARPAT, you'll κfind the chemical R2 patents you couldn't find before! In this new structure-searchable R1 R' Π file, you'll find generic and prophetic chemical structures that aren't covered in REGISTRY. Enjoy the benefits of being on STN: build your structure query once, and search REGISTRY, MARPAT, BEILSTEIN ...plus, the CA abstracts are displayable in MARPAT. One structure query, one search language, one display file!

New Materials Property Data Files Several new files of materials property data are now available on STN! The files are • AAASD—composition, mechanical and physical properties, and tensile properties of commercial wroughtaluminum alloys • ALFRAC—aluminum fracture toughness information • MARTUF-steel toughness information, including com position, fabricating practice, and welding procedures (if applicable) • MDF—data on ferrous and nonferrous alloys from the world literature
