EDITORIAL Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis Special Issue The growth in interest in asymmetric synthesis in recent years has been nothing short of fantastic. The more recent development of catalytic methods for carrying out asymmetric synthesis has raised this interest to a new level. The Editors of Accounts of Chemical Research have wanted to publish a special issue on this field for some time; the problem is that there is so much excellent material to choose from. With the advice of the Editorial Advisory Board, we chose Scott Denmark and Eric Jacobsen as special editors for this issue. We think our readers will agree that they have done a superb job in choosing authors, but note that another superb issue could probably have been put together with an entirely different set of authors!
