CBS TYPE 7818 PHOTOMULTIPLIER

DRIERITE NEW DRYING UNIT for AIR & GASES AT PRESSURES up to 90 psig

2 7 / O . D . χ 11 3 /," LABORATORY GAS DRYING UNIT

Low range oxygen analyzer, Model 632C, has dual range design that per mits tracking while process is brought into range. It is said to provide analysis within ± 2 % under normal operation, and it is not affected by ! presence of hydrogen or hydrocar bons in background gas. The unit operates on the principle of paramag netism—oxygen attraction by a mag netic field. Hays Corp. P-9

NOW AVAILABLE IN

The redesigned unit will provide exit dew points of — 100°F. and has a heavy duty aluminum cap. Flow rates may be 200 liters per hour.

The 7818 is one of CBS' complete line of photomultipliers; a catalog of detailed specifications is avail able on request.

ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY

Sensitive to the blue region of the spectrum, this new 3-inch diam eter, 10-stage, end-on tube has a plano-concave faceplate to insure uniform sensitivity across its face. Focusing is accomplished by means of a separate electrode to optimize photoelectron collection and to improve resolution. The tube's linear multiplier struc ture provides short transit-time spread and fast rise time; shock and vibration specifications of the rugged multiplier structure are guaranteed by CBS.

Electronic microphotometer, the NSL | Spec Reader, features the company's digital readout and lock method of automated data presentation. The screen is l 1 / 2 square feet in size, and the company says the operator is able to clearly see the line he is reading and all other lines. Sensitivity is based on full scale deflection with less than 100 square microns. Na tional Spectrographic Laboratories, Inc. P-10
