WHO SHOULD ATTEND OVERVIEW Te addition of a large valve oven to the 7890 GC system has expanded the analytical capabilities for the gas chromatograph manufactured by Agilent Technologies. Te addition of a thermal zone regulating temperature for a combination of six valves or columns provides increased fexibility for applications that require multiple valves and columns. Along with an overview of the new system hardware and its functionality, this presentation will review application of the large valve oven for the Fast Analysis of Refnery Gas (RGA) and High Capacity Analysis of Refnery Gas (RGA) and the Analysis of Benzene, Aromatics and Oxygenates in Reformulated Fuels per ASTM D3606, D4815 and D5580. Topics will include a review of hardware confguration, method optimization and analytical recommendations.
Analysts and process control personnel in the energy and chemical industry, or scientists involved with refning process and fuel reformulation research Process control personnel interested in refnery gas analysis to monitor process efciency Refnery operators and process control personnel interested in analyzing fnished fuels for quality and composition per ASTM D3606, D4815 and D5580
KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Expanded analytical capabilities for the 7890B GC using an external valve oven that accommodates a combination of six (6) valves or columns in a single heated zone
SPONSOR Fast RGA (8 min) including O2 and H2S using micro-packed columns High capacity RGA (16 min) including isomeric separation of higher MW hydrocarbons and the analysis of O2 and H2S using standard 1/8” packed columns
