Correction Characterizing the Uncertainty in Near-Infrared Spectroscopic Prediction of Mixed-Oxygenate Concentrations in Gasoline: Sample-Specific Prediction Intervals Nicolaas (Klass) M. Faber, David L. Duewer, Steven J. Choquette, Terry L. Green, and Stephen N. Chesler (Anal. Chem. 1998, 70, 2972-2982).

An error was made in the conversion of the original data (in JCAMP-DX format) to Matlab. As a result of this, all reported numbers in absorbance space (unit AU) are too small by a factor of 10 (exactly). Consequently, the estimated regression vectors and “inverse sensitivities” (both in unit weight percent oxygen/ AU) are too large by a factor of 10, and the sensitivities (unit AU/ weight percent oxygen) are too small by a factor of 10. However, none of the conclusions are affected, since these were drawn from numbers obtained in concentration space (unit weight percent oxygen). AC9815608 10.1021/ac9815608 Published on Web 10/08/98
