CHED Committee Meetings The Division of Chemical Education (CHED) Committee meetings planned for the Spring 2009 ACS Meeting in Salt Lake City will be in the Marriott City Center Hotel. Check the location of other CHED events, the CHED Social Event, the Undergraduate Program, Sci-Mix, etc. because many will be in the Salt Palace Convention Center. Saturday, March 21 Executive Committee: Executive Session 7:30–8 a.m.; Open ses­ sion 8 a.m.–1:15 p.m., Capitol AB Room; Mark Freilich, Chair. Board of Publication: 1:30–6 p.m., Olympus B Room; Diane Bunce, Chair. BCCE 2010 Planning Committee. The CaNe Roundup: 4:30–6:30 p.m., Olympus A Room; Diana Mason, General Chair. Program Committee: 2–4 p.m., Capitol C Room; Julie Smist, Chair.

Booth at Exposition: Booth 825 will represent CHED in general, JCE and JCE Software, Exams Institute, outreach activities, and more. Hours: Sunday 6–8:30 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Wednesday 9 a.m.–2 p.m. The Exams Institute is celebrating its 75th anniversary with anniversary cake at noon on Tuesday.

Other CHED Events CHED Reception and Social Event, Sunday, March 22: 6:15–7:15 p.m., Salt Palace Convention Center, Ballroom J; Mark Freilich, Chair. This new open event was held for the first time a year ago at the New Orleans meeting, replacing the Division banquet. Outside sponsorship has been obtained; it will include light hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and live piano music. The event is an excellent chance to get to know other Division members and officers and join in recognizing Division awardees. The reception is in the Salt Palace Convention Center, the same location as the CHED Sunday Evening Poster Session. High School Program: This program will be held Monday and Tuesday evenings, March 23 and 24 in the Marriott City Center Hotel, Olympus Ballroom. See p 293 for details.
