Published on the Web Dec 10, 1999). A regretful error has been found in our paper. The paper ranked 50th in our Table 4 (Fullerene Papers Most Cited in 1985-1998), “Isolation, Separation and Characterization of the Fullerenes C60 and C70sThe Third Form of Carbon” by R. Taylor, J. P. Hare, A. K. Abdul-Sada, and H. W. Kroto, was erroneously reported as having been published in J. Chem. Soc. 1990, 20, 1423-1424 and having been cited 139 times. The correct reference to this paper is J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun. 1990, 1423-1424. In fact, beyond the 139 citations to the incorrect format, the paper received another 485 citations. The total of 624 citations in the 1990-1998 period, ranks it 7th among the top cited fullerene papers (Table 4 of the original review) with all subsequent papers shifting one position downward. The correct citation history of the paper (replacing the one given in the original Figure 7, p 30, left column, lowermost curve) is shown in the figure below. Some minor inaccuracies in Table 1 (list of most productive journals) are due to the fact that some of the listed journals underwent title or subtitle change, split, or merger during the period under study, and these have not been tracked in our counts. We apologize for these inaccuracies.
