Organic Chemist We have a position for a PhD Chemist to support government agency programs involving toxic and hazardous chemicals. The work involves preparing chemistry reports on new and existing chemicals and performing special studies concerning structure, synthesis, and use of such chemicals. The position requires a creative mind, a knowledge of mechanistic organic chemistry, and ability to communicate ideas orally and in writing. Knowledge and/or experience with microcomputers and their applications is desirable. Candidates must have a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Four years experience in industry (chemical manufacturing or R&D) or academic environment is preferred.
Industrial Hygienist/ Chemical Engineer We have a position for an individual to provide technical expertise in industrial hygiene to support government agency programs involving toxic and hazardous chemicals. The work involves analyzing data concerning industrial and laboratory safety practices and developing/evaluating laboratory safety monitoring programs. The position requires knowledge of industrial hygiene, chemical process engineering, and an ability to communicate ideas orally and in writing. Candidates must have a graduate degree in Chemical Engineering (a minimum of an MS), Board Certification in Industrial Hygiene, and at least five years of industrial or laboratory experience. Familiarity with highly toxic organic chemicals and radionuclides is desirable. Knowledge/experience with microcomputers and their applications is a plus.
