Since 1930, increased produc tion and decreased replacement costs have resulted from the scientific application of the O r g a n i c GluCOSêtCS to the
control of scale and corrosion problems. Today we are providing control to thirteen times the number of plants served five years ago., Water problems in heat exchangers, boilers, engines, compressors, process., and steam piping* condensers, -cooling systems, and all other types of water-using equipment respond to the Haering Control system. Our Technical Department and our Staff of Field Technologists will provide you with a complete survey and interpretation of any scale or corrosion problem in your plant.

Can Filtros help you solve problems in— A E R A T I O N AG ITAT I O N DITFUSION FILTRATION?
What FilUeo la. Filtroe is a riff id, strong, uni formly porous, acid proof mineral medium composed essentially of ailica. It is a truly porous ware, not cellular. Nothing is used in its manufacture that is not in the finished product. It is porous by nature and not by any artificial means. Filtros is machin able. P h y s i c a l Properties: Structure: Its structural condition is best de scribed by comparing it te a mass of capillary tubes -which take a tortuous path through the ware. Porosity: Filtros is made in seven standard grades. Controlled variations in pore structure provide a 4 0 fold, range in rated flow capacity, while main taining high mechanical strength. CaoUlstxityx •• Filtros retains by capillarity from 25% to 40% ox more of its weight of water. . ' .

Température) IUsnsta\nce: Filtros can withstand safely tomperaturt variations of 150°F, even if made suddenly. Expansion and contraction amount*Xto approximately 1 in 3800 for a rang· of 100°F. Chemical Properties: Filtros is chemically inert and is unaffected by those chemicals which do not attack silica. Uses: Some of the present uses for Filtros are aeration, agitation, diffusion and filtration of eyases and liquids. Because of its porous nature it is also used for electrolytic tank lining·. Filtros is being successfully used as a catalyst carrier and. its importance in this duty is of increasing interest. In addition to these, a number of new uses are being developed for this versatile material.
