Of the P l u r o n i c g r a d e s commercially a v a i l a b l e , Pluronic L62 ( l i q u i d ) and F68 ( f l a k e ) have proved e s p e c i a l l y e f f e c t i v e . . . n o t o n l y p r o v i d i n g b e t t e r b r u s h a b i l i t y f o r medium- and h e a v y bodied p a i n t s , but g i v i n g d i s p e r s i n g p r o p e r t i e s which h e l p t o m a i n t a i n c h a r a c t e r i s t i c pigment s h a d e s . P l u r o n i c F68 i s p a r t i c u l a r l y e f f e c t i v e i n p a i n t s in which an e m u l s i f i e d o i l phase r e p l a c e s part of t h e l a t e x . F68 i n t h e s e s y s t e m s a i d s i n e m u l s i f i c a t i o n , and h e l p s t o prevent m i g r a t i o n of p i g m e n t s from t h e aqueous t o t h e o i l p h a s e .
